Hi there. How was your weekend? I hope your week has started off okay. Neil has travelled for work and he’ll be away for the whole week. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous about him being away when I learned that he’d be travelling. This is the longest that we have been away from each other since we have known each other and that’s four years. I have gotten so used to having him around and doing everything together and I enjoy that aspect of our relationship. I have always been the type of person who has very few friends and those that I do have, I keep very close and over that time that we have known each other, he has become my best friend. But I suppose a bit of a break is okay, just to balance things out and see how well we do away from each other. Besides, we can also put the adage that “Distance makes the heart grow fonder” to the test. I am missing him a lot though. This is also the inspiration for this week’s style story featuring this flowy top.
Weirdly, us being together all the time and then him having to leave got me thinking about some of the items in my closet that were at one point my favorite go to options that I have not worn in a while. This flowy tank top is one of those pieces and this outfit that I featured here recently is also part of that.
Back to this week’s outfit, revisiting this top reminded me why I loved it. It is such a comfortable flowy fit and on the occasional times when I need to unbutton my jeans after I’ve had a little too much to eat, I can still get away with my fab look. Yay! The green and burgundy colors complement each other beautifully and the details on it are gorgeous. The thick straps allow for it to be worn with a bra comfortably without showing the straps and the square neckline just adds to the details. Oh, it also comes with a cute casual lightweight bolero cover that can be tied at the front, like I did, left open or removed and it just adds to the charm.
I styled it with a pair of blue jeans and a pair of open toe wedges to give it a casual weekend feel. For the accessories, I went with my textured, beaded clutch, beaded bracelets, beaded hoop earrings and a black statement ring. My burgundy lip and red and silver DIY nails rounded off the look.

I hope you have enjoyed this style story and it inspires you to style that similar top that’s in your closet. Enjoy the rest of your week and thank you so much for reading.
